Who applies the laser?

Is laser safe?

The laser has revolutionized the treatment of vascular and pigment skin stains. It enables the doctor to isolate a beam of light and aim it directly into the pigment targeted, hemoglobin, melanin or pigment, the principal stain components, destroying only the pigment and clarifying the skin. This action on chromophore (the target pigment) makes it very safe, minimizing the possible risk of scars.

Is the treatment painful?

The laser pulse hits the dermis causing a feeling of rubber band on the skin. On occasions, An anesthetic cream is used for very sensitive people or children. Generally, the treatment is painless and well tolerated. Today there are sapphire-cooled tips, which in contact with the skin minimize the discomfort and protect the epidermis from an undesired thermal effect.

How many sessions are there in a treatment?

This will depend on the size and type of lesion; the sessions may be single or repeated every 1-12 weeks until the desired clarifying or result are reached. The response to treatment varies according to the nature, depth of the pigment, and the person’s healing process. There are lesions that disappear after only a single session (freckles, lentigo and some tattoos), while others need more sessions.

How long should I avoid sunbathing?

Usually, the post-operative period is minimal and you can resume your daily routine the following day, while it is recommended to avoid exposure to sun for 30 days, before resuming your normal routine.

We always advise our patients to minimize their exposure to the sun, especially between 10 AM and 4PM, preferring other times of day. These orientations, along with the patient’s common sense, will help preserve her skin and also maintain the benefits acquired

When will I see the results?

Depending on the treatment, this period may vary between 1-2 days to 5 weeks For a detailed answer, consult your dermatologist. There will be photo documentation before and after the treatment.

What is the price of a treatment?
